Hello there am Tommaso ,
A little bit of background story about the thought that created this company.
I grew up in Europe, pre-internet age, in 1976. Envigorated with weekly fresh markets, artisan bread and nutella. I spent my early childhood riding my bike playing soccer, and playing with little chicks. I was allowed to pick fresh eggs, oranges and figs from my grandmothers back yard. Having an awesome mother and grandmother spoiling me with homemade daily meals, it's hard not to be greatful today.
I remember setting up the dinner table together and enjoyed meals as a family. Meals took about two hours to finish when I was growing up, which is 20 times longer than the SAD (Standard American Diet) which says today's average time to consume a meal is 6 minutes. Moving to New York, in 1991, we gradually lost that. Like they say life happens, and, we all got busy and the fast life began, the military, school, etc., not knowing that it would split this family and home tradition.
I held on tight to a thought....
One day to bring all of these memories of family , fresh markets and meals into a business model. Little did I know that CLEAN Meals was incubated. ha!
Let me share a throwback #Throwback ....I don't think in the 80's my parents thought much about organic meats, even though we lived in cities, my parents grew up on farms in Sardinia. Knowledge about GMO, refined sugars, additives, hormone injected meats, oh! and let's not start with the gluten and dairy intolerances EPIDEMIC we now have..., back then the research wasn't published like it is NOW, it was after all a dark primitive age we were living, the pre-internet age, the pre-AOL you got mail!! Do you remember those days?
I believe in sharing the gift of cooking, as a tool that can bring us back closer to experience awareness to eating more from the roots of our gardens, local farms, as often as possible, to cook more at home with family and friends.
With Clean Meals Organics & the kitchen our mission is to work with functional medicine MD, Naturopaths, dieticians and the new sciences of DNA genetics, to bring holistic care back the health care industry.
Our plates bring organic seasonal delights from the farm to the table with the added microbiome knowledge for gut health.
Giving farmers and families the opportunity to join forces in a more harmonious way.
